On Monday 17th April 2023, a meeting between the Founder of the new Community Crime Report initiative, Charles Lewis and the team of the National Peace Programme, headed by Mr. Akil Daley was convened at the office of the Attorney General, Hon. Dale Marshall.
The meeting was convened at the request of the Hon. Corey Lane, Minister responsible for crime prevention portfolio. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the mechanics of the technology behind the Community Crime Report platform and the ways in which the community and the Barbados Police Service can benefit from the initiative.
Also in attendance at the meeting were Allison Roach-Plummer, Rhea Jemmott, Kevin Watson and Paula Jackman who are all members of the team of the National Peace Programme.
