The founder of the newly launched Community Crime Report (CCR) initiative, Charles Lewis has set out the framework to partner with Police Departments all over the world, as part of their ongoing community relations and crime fighting strategies.
Under this partnership, police officers will have access to the platform for the following purposes.
- To upload reports on criminal activities.
- To review reports published by members of the community for updates on criminal activity in their jurisdiction.
- To review published reports for updates on criminal activity in other jurisdictions which may assist with their investigations.
- To boost their community policing and piblic relations strategies.
ABOUT CCR
CCR is a platform which enables members of the community to upload detailed reports of any criminal activity they are a victim of or a witness to. This platform is also for police to upload crime reports, advisories and other information as part of their crime awareness, crime prevention and crime solving strategies.
These crime reports are then shared instantly with our local partners and the members of all neighbouring communities.
CCR also aims to collaborate with Neighborhood Watch, Crime Stoppers and other crime fighting networks and initiatives.
CCR is a free public service in the fight against crime.
