Five people have been arrested following a roof stand off with police.

Officers were called to Lytham Road in Blackpool around 4.20pm on Saturday after receiving reports that two men were on the roof of a property.

The men were throwing tiles from the roof onto the ground.

As a result a cordon was put in place and following negotiations a 23-year-old man was brought down from the roof around 5.15pm and arrested on suspicion of affray.

It took police a further five hours to negotiate with the second man, who was finally brought down from the roof by the fire service around 10.20pm
